Essex chapter
Hello and welcome to ScienceGrrl Essex!
We are a young and growing group of women with a desire to encourage and promote the ScienceGrrl agenda. We have been active since 2015 and are always looking to welcome anyone with an interest in supporting women in STEM to get in touch and join our growing network.
Becoming a ScienceGrrl
We believe it’s never too early (or late) to be a Science Grrl. If you’re 16 and over and in search of a mentor, have a desire to take on a mentee, have skills to offer, knowledge to share or just looking for a support network, then Science Grrl is the place for you.

What we do in Essex?
We aim to have a group meeting once every quarter with our final meeting being a social usually in December. We also aim to plan and support three events a year, one of which is usually a Science fair.

We will be at De la Salle School in Basildon supporting their Professional Women’s Day on 17th June 2016
We will be at the STEM careers speed dating event organised by the Basildon county council on 26th April 2016
This years’ science fair will be moving from Chelmsford to a town near you… details coming soon.
