Sheffield chapter

Welcome to the Sheffield chapter of ScienceGrrl!

We’re a brand new chapter and just getting set up.  We’ll be having regular socials every month or so, though the exact details will change each month so keep an eye out here for details of the next meet up and for any other events being held in Sheffield – everyone welcome so please some along for a chat!

After a fabulous launch event we’ve got plans for some great things including ‘PubhD’ in collaboration with Sheffield Skeptics in the Pub, partnering up with the educational arts-science installation Project Neurone, talks, a series of blogs on the excellent Sheffield women of science and more!  We’ll post more details as each gets up and running but get in touch if you want to get involved in any of these events or have ideas for something you’d like help getting set up with.

Join our facebook group for regular updates and posts from our members or get in touch on twitter if you’d like to be added to the mailing list!

Sheffield news

Inspired by coming to one of our Sheffield socials, Lisa Heywood (@microlisa) runs a blog called The View From The Lab. Have a look and send her a pic of your lab!

One of our members, Georgina Tagg, wrote a lovely blog about our Ada Lovelace day celebration lecture on 6th October.
